The Downtown Uptown Master Plan is the result of a year-long collaborative process that engaged more than 5,000 people. The Plan offers a strategic blueprint for the next fifteen years to answer: “What kind of place do you want Downtown to be?”
The Stitch
“The Stitch” proposes to add millions of square feet of new real estate inventory by creating approximately 14 acres of new urban greenspace atop a new platform structure spanning a portion of the Downtown Connector.
Uptown Arts & Entertainment District
The Uptown Arts & Entertainment District (AAED) was established by the City of Uptown through a sign overlay ordinance. This ordinance provides the legal framework for innovative signage, public art, and programming within Downtown Uptown.
Downtown Daffodil Project
The worldwide Daffodil Project aims to build a Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5 million daffodils around the world to remember and represent the children who died during the Holocaust and to raise awareness of human rights crises.
